LEDGEVIEW LEAGUE TEAM HANDICAP

Everyone Starts at Scratch

A clean slate for every team. Your handicap comes entirely from your actual Ledgeview League scramble performance.

WEEK 1

Scratch. Full points.

Every team plays without a handicap. Gross score equals net score, and normal season points are awarded.

WEEK 2 ONWARD

Your team’s play sets the pace.

Your team handicap comes from performance relative to par, with better rounds carrying more weight. It updates for your next round, uses one decimal place, and has a maximum receiving handicap of 9.0 strokes. Strong teams can earn a plus handicap, adding strokes to gross score.

A proprietary recreational team handicap. No GHIN, WHS, outdoor handicap or field median. The handicap used and net score are fixed once a round is played. Substitute rounds count toward the team’s future handicap.

OPTIONAL WEEKLY SKINS

Go low. Chase a skin.

$5 / player • $10 / team

Both players enter together. Skins use your team’s gross scramble score; league handicaps do not apply.

A unique low gross score wins a hole. Tied low scores win no skin. Skins close at the end of each scheduled league week. Late makeups still earn league points, but cannot enter or change closed skins games.

SEASON RACE

Make your best five count.

Each week awards points based on net team score. Your best 5 of 6 weeks determine the season standings; Week 1 may be your dropped week.

The season prize pool pays first, second and third place. Prizes belong to the two originally registered players.

Detailed points, ties and prize ownership are in the league rules below.

League Rules & FAQs

When can we play? What about makeups?

The season runs Monday, November 9 through Sunday, December 20, 2026: six consecutive weeks, including Thanksgiving week.

Each registered player receives 6 one-hour league booking credits for the season. Elevate Golf will send booking and setup instructions before play begins. Play any day and any available time, up to one scheduled week ahead, or make up missed rounds later. Play courses in order, without skipping a week and returning later. Complete all six rounds by Sunday, December 20.

No particular playing day or time is required.

Scramble format, tees & simulator rules

Two players play a 9-hole, two-person scramble each week on that week’s designated GSPro course/nine. All six weeks use the front nine.

Each player’s tee assignment is based on their normal outdoor tee category: Red, White or Blue. Teammates may play different tees. GSPro yardage ranges will be announced.

Putting is on, with 4-foot gimmies. No mulligans are allowed except for a legitimate simulator or technology malfunction.

How is our Ledgeview League Team Handicap calculated?

Week 1: 0.0 handicap. Gross equals net, with full season points.

For each nine-hole round, differential = team gross score minus par for those nine holes. The handicap for the next round is 90% of the average of your better half of previous Ledgeview League differentials. Best means lowest, including negative differentials.

Previous rounds → differentials used: 1 → best 1; 2 → best 1; 3 → best 2; 4 → best 2; 5 → best 3.

Use and display one decimal place. The maximum receiving handicap is 9.0 strokes; there is no floor at scratch. Net = gross minus the signed team handicap. Gross 40 with handicap 3.6 gives net 36.4. Gross 33 with handicap −2.0 gives net 35.0.

The handicap used for a played round and its net score are fixed. Later rounds and makeups do not retroactively change them. All team rounds, including substitute rounds, feed the next handicap. This is Elevate’s recreational team system, not GHIN or WHS.

Weekly rankings, points & season ties

Weekly rankings use 9-hole net team score. Week 1 is scratch, so gross equals net. Weeks 2–6 use gross score adjusted by the Ledgeview League Team Handicap.

1st100 points 2nd90 points 3rd80 points 4th75 points 5th70 points 6th65 points 7th60 points 8th55 points 9th50 points 10th45 points 11th40 points 12th35 points 13th30 points 14th25 points 15th20 points 16th15 points 17th10 points 18th & lower5 points

Tied teams average the points for the positions they occupy. Week 1 awards normal points.

Best 5 of 6 weeks count. Week 1 can be dropped. The season champion has the highest total points from their best five weeks.

Season ties are broken in this order: most weekly wins, most second-place finishes, most third-place finishes, then lowest Week 6 net score. Wins, seconds and thirds count across all six weeks, including the dropped points week.

How do weekly skins and carryovers work?

Optional entry is $5 per player / $10 per team. Both players enter together, and the team must enter and pay before beginning that week’s round. No entry after a round has started or finished.

Skins belong to the scheduled league week/course being played. Teams playing one week ahead may enter that future week’s game normally. Skins close at the end of each scheduled league week. A late makeup can earn an official league score and points and affect future handicap, but cannot enter or affect a skins game that has already closed.

A skin requires the unique lowest gross team scramble score on a hole among that week’s entered teams. If two or more teams tie low, no skin is won on that hole. Handicaps never apply.

The entire weekly skins pot is divided equally among the nine holes. Won skins are paid. Money assigned to unwon holes combines into one carryover pot, rather than individual hole carryovers.

The following week’s new entries plus the previous carryover make the new total pot, which is divided equally across that week’s nine holes. After Week 6, remaining carryover is divided equally among teams that won at least one Week 6 skin. There is no Week 7 carryover.

Can we use substitutes?

Substitutes are allowed, with no limit on the number of rounds. A substitute must use their appropriate Red/White/Blue tee category.

A substitute does not create a new team handicap or change the handicap used for that round. Substitute rounds count exactly like normal rounds for the next team handicap, including excellent rounds that lower it. Substitutes do not become owners of the team or its season prize money.

A team cannot play with only one golfer. Use a substitute or make up the round later.

Registration, eligibility & season prizes

Both players must be 18 or older. Registration is not active. The proposed deadline is Sunday, November 15, 2026, pending approval.

Have your team name ready, plus each player’s full name, email, phone and usual outdoor tee category (Red, White or Blue). View the proposed online and cash registration process. Please provide each player’s own accurate email and phone number.

The season price is $45 per two-player team per week for six weeks ($270), plus a $50 one-time league fee per team: $320 per team / $160 per player, paid upfront. The $50 team fee is allocated 100% to the season prize pool. Ledgeview’s revenue share is tracked separately. Weekly skins are optional and separate. No complimentary cash-payment bonus is included. Registration and payment collection remain inactive.

The top three season teams receive prize money. Payout percentages are determined after registration closes.

Season prizes belong to the two originally registered team members, even when substitutes play. Elevate pays a team prize; the original players are responsible for splitting it.

LEDGEVIEW GOLF COURSE PARTNERSHIP

Organized and operated by Elevate Golf.

Elevate Golf handles registration, simulator scheduling, scoring, league operations and player communication. If the partnership is approved, Ledgeview would help promote the league through mutually agreed marketing channels.

Under the proposed partnership, Ledgeview Golf Course would receive $5 for every player per paid league round, regardless of who recruited the player: $10 per fully paid two-player team per week, or $60 over six weeks.

The $50 one-time league fee per team is allocated 100% to the season prize pool, which pays the top three season teams; payout percentages are determined after registration closes. Per fully paid team: $320 total − $50 prize pool − $60 Ledgeview revenue share = $210 retained by Elevate before operating expenses, taxes and processing fees. Ledgeview’s share is tracked separately using verified paid registrations, with refunds and credits reconciled at season end. This preview does not activate registration, booking or payment collection.
